In the land of Telangana, where heroes rest, Stands a monument,Telangana Amaraveerula stupam

Gun Park, the brave attest. A memorial built for three-sixty-nine, Students who fought, their spirits divine.

Telangana Martyrs Memorial, a sacred ground, Observed each year, on the day renowned. June second, a date to honor their might, In every district, their sacrifice in sight.

Aekka Yadagiri Rao, a sculptor revered, Crafted this symbol, by love and truth steered. Commissioned by Mayor Lakshminarayana’s hand, Chosen amidst others, the finest in the land.

At twenty-five feet, it proudly stands tall, Incorporating sections, telling a story for all. The base of black granite, with bullet impressions, For the students who fell, their heroic expressions.

Nine on each side, for districts strong and true, In mourning, the granite reflects their due. Above, a sun-arch, mythical and grand, Inspired by Sanchi Stupas, a sacred demand.

Plaques embossed, greatness of the cause, Respect paid to martyrs, divine applause. Nine strips denoting unity, a powerful sight, Telangana’s strength, unyielding, in light.

A trapezium structure, bearing the weight, Dharma chakra, sacrifice, justice innate. Red granite representing love and peace, Youths fought for rights, their battles won’t cease.

And at the summit, a white lily flower fair, Symbolizing youth’s freshness, souls beyond compare. For flowers often grace memorials’ embrace, Yadagiri Roa’s art, a forever bloom in grace.

In Gun Park, the echoes of 1969 resound, A symbol of courage, where heroes are found. Telangana’s spirit, fierce and unbowed, Forever honored, in this sacred shroud.
